When we operate our railroad like the prototype C&O and Clinchfield railroads, we run trains in our operating pool of locomotives and rolling stock, with C&O trains running on the C&O section of the layout and Clinchfield trains running on the Clinchfield section.
During open houses, our members operate their personal trains, representing many American railroads. Some are railroads operating today. Others represent “Fallen Flag” railroads of years past. Favorite railroads of our current members include the railroad heralds below:
